    The American Frozen Food Institute provides administrative and oversight assistance to the Food Industry Environmental Council (FIEC), a coalition of more than 50 food processors and trade associations that together represent more than 15,000 facilities across the nation, contribute hundreds of billions of dollars in sales to the economy and employ approximately 1.5 million people.
    The Council was formed to support sound, effective environmental policies, and to serve as an educational and information resource to provide Congress, the Executive Branch, and consumers important information regarding the processes used in the manufacture and delivery of food, and the effect that various environmental legislative and regulatory proposals have on the continued safety and availability of the nation's food supply.
