Government Action Summit

September 14 - 15
, 2016
Washington, DC

JOIN!  The American Frozen Food Institute (AFFI) will host its annual Government Action Summit on Sept. 14-15 which will offer attendees a unique and unparalleled opportunity to both influence and gain insight into the political forces at play that matter most to their business.  In 2015, summit attendees participated in over 30 Congressional office visits to discuss a range of key frozen food topics.

ENGAGE!  Hear directly from the top influencers in DC and the Frozen Food and Beverage industry during AFFI's Public Policy Forum on Sept. 15, which includes:

Discuss with Dr. Stephen Ostroff, Deputy Commissioner for Food and Veterinary Medicine from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) several hot button issues for the frozen food and beverage industry.

Listen to Reid Wilson, National Correspondent for The Hill, Washington’s most widely-read political publication on the Presidential election climate and current political trends in our nation.

AFFI's Capitol Hill Luncheon on Sept. 15 will feature Rep. Dan Newhouse (R-Wash.) who will discuss current agriculture and business issues affecting the frozen food industry!

ADVOCATE!  AFFI members will meet with members of Congress to discuss key frozen food industry issues related to food safety and Listeria Monocytogenes, parity for frozen fruits and vegetables in federal school nutrition programs and how frozen foods are aiding Americans in reducing food waste.  This is your opportunity to engage with the members of Congress that represent your company and have direct oversight over the federal agencies that are making regulations, which impact your bottom line.
